Terms and conditions

Booking and Deposit

We might charge 100% of the total booking amount 7 days prior arrival date.  

Note: We are a small lodge, and please beware of our cancellation policy. We strongly advise you to have travel insurance.  

All reservation requests are subject to confirmation after payment is received. 

Tariff includes the New Zealand Goods and Services GST of 15%.

You must provide an email address or phone number when making the booking.

House Rules

  • Check-in from 2:30 PM to 10:00 PM.

  • Check-out from 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM.

  • We change fresh sheets on the third day of arrival. if you inquire about changing sheets, please let us know.

  • The lodge is a BioMass system, ONLY toilet paper can go through the toilet, Nothing else. 

  • We are smoking-free. Smoking is not allowed inside the entire house. We can provide an ashtray if needed. Please DO NOT put the cigarette butt into the rubbish bin. 

  • Pets are not allowed.

  • Parties/events are allowed. This is only available under the exclusive booking arrangement. Guests or the lodge can arrange the chef. For further details, please contact us

  • The credit card needs to be collected by the lodge when making bookings. Lodge has the right to deduct the cost for any damages incurred by guests during the stay.

  • No loud music and noise inside the house, especially quiet hours are between 9:00 PM to 8:00 AM. 

  • The kitchen closed at 8:30 pm. If guests are having dinner, you will need to move to the lounge area so we can set up the table for breakfast. 

  • Calling button by the Guest's book.

Extra policies:

We collect the credit card details while you are making the booking. The credit card will be for collecting the deposit and guarantee of your accommodation may be used for charges incurred due to cancellation and/or charges not paid for at checkout. 
If you have any change to your plans please inform us in writing, as early as possible. The cancellation policy is applied in above. We are restrict with the cancellation policy please contact us if you have any questions. 
No refunds are transferred to any credit card other than the original credit card provided for the guarantee or payment. 
When booking third party activities or excursions please be aware that they may have different terms, conditions and cancellation policies. A service charge might apply. 

All promotional offers are fully chargeable at time of booking and non refundable.

Cancellation Policy

Without any particular circumstance, our cancellation policies are: 

  • 50% charged if cancellation is within 30 days of arrival.

  • 100% charged if cancellation is within 14 days of arrival.

  • 100% charge will occur if guests are a "No-Show".

For special cancellation conditions packages, please refer to the Terms and Conditions while you make the bookings.  

Refund policy

If you require a refund, please note that any credit card fees and bank transfer fees will be payable by the client. The fees might be different depending on the cost of banks.

Exclusive Booking

TERMS & CONDTIONS

BOND An amount equal to one night’s rental or otherwise stated will be deducted and held at the start of your stay on the credit card provided. This bond will not be released until a Post-Stay Inspection has been completed to confirm that there is no excessive cleaning required, excessive rubbish to be removed or any damage to the Property.

POST-STAY INSPECTION      
We reserve the right to complete or procure a Post-Stay Inspection at the end of your stay.

Lost keys will result in a minimum charge of $100 + GST.

CANCELLATION POLICY    

A non-refundable deposit of 25% of the total booking to be paid on confirmation of reservation.

  • 100% of total booking, within 60 days of arrival 

  • 100% of the total booking, No Show

Cancellation fees apply to the total period booked

Guests are strongly advised to protect themselves against cancellation charges, medical expenses, or loss of personal possession by way of comprehensive travel insurance taken out in the country of origin.

NOTE    Pre-payment and cancellation fees are refundable if the reservation is able to be resold.

PAYMENT POLICY    Invoiced and paid prior to guest’s arrival

Please note, that for the refund, we will charge the banking fees if it occurs during the transfer.  

Child Policy

Acacia Cliffs Lodge is designed to be an executive retreat for adults.  Children over 12 are welcome. Particularly during the busiest season from 1st Oct to 30 April March, we prefer not to accept children under 12. At times and under certain circumstances, we are able to accept them, so do talk to us. We may be able to make it happen. 

We can offer separate dining for a family, ensuring peace and quiet for other adult guests. The pre-dinner drinks area is for adults only, but we can provide unsupervised children's entertainment during this time in the library if required. 

Children will be accepted with adults at the same rates as adults. The extra single bed requires the additional charge for $200 per night for the room Mapara Suite. Children in their own room, of any age, will be charged the appropriate adult tariff (share twin or single). 

Meals and dine-in policy

All menu options are provided based on the availability of products at the time the request is made. if products are not in season or in stock, then they may not be available at the time of placing an order. 

Dietary Requirement: 

Please send us an email or phone prior to your booking to discuss any requirements you may have. Meals contained diary, meat, seafood and glutton. We can adjust ingredients for glutton free, shall-fish free under the requests.  Without confirmation, we might not have the capacity to provide the suitable dinner. 

Other rules: 

  • Dinner reservation needs to be made a minimum of 48 hours in advance to allow the purchase of products and allow for suitable preparation time.  

  • Dinner time is a set time, we might be delayed for 15 minutes depending on circumstances. 

               Pre-dinner drink and canapés: 6:00 PM
               Dinner: 7:00 PM

  • Pre-dinner drinks and canapés include two glasses of selective house wine per person. Canapés starts at 6:00 pm. If you are away before 5:30 pm, we will consider you might not come to the drink.

  • Pre-dinner drinks and canapés: during the winter season, from May - September,  because of the weather, this event is on request.

  • Dinner is not combined with the discount deal. Please refer to the Terms and Conditions for each booking. 

  • The kitchen is closed at 8:30 pm. Guests will need to move to the lounge area for us to clean.   

  • Rates and conditions may be subject to change at our discretion.

There is a surcharge of 15% on New Zealand public holidays. Includes: 

  • Easter Holiday

  • Christmas and New Year's holiday: from 24th December to 3rd Jan.

  • Waitangi Day

  • Labour Day

  • Monarch's Official Birthday
